Destiny gameplay trailers arriving later today, Bungie teases

Bungie has released three new teaser videos for Destiny on its Instagram feed with the suggestion that there will be fresh information available later today.

The teaser videos were posted on the destinythegame feed on Instagram and are all stamped with today’s date, April 28 2014.

This means you should expect a brand new, potentially rather lengthy gameplay trailer to arrive later today, focusing on the on-foot Guardian action in the game.

“Watch as three brave Guardians take the fight deep into the enemy’s lair”, reads the caption on the latest teaser trailer.

It also looks like you’ll “see how a Guardian chooses their missions” via the map selection menu, plus getting a first look at “the formation of a Fireteam.”

All three Instagram videos tease elements of the game, including a snapshot of the map selection, on-foot gameplay sections and the ship formations ahead of the big announcement later today.

Hopefully, Destiny will feature some sort of aerial battles, similar to that showcased in Halo Reach, especially as there is a particular focus on the aircrafts in this latest teaser set.

The Destiny release date isn’t due until September 9 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360, but it’s definitely shaping up to be one of the biggest games of 2014.

We don’t doubt that the announcement later today will do anything but ramp up the excitement for the first cross-platform title from Bungie, the development studio behind the Halo series.

There is no information as to what time the Destiny announcement will arrive, but we’ll post the news and trailers as and when we get them.
