Denon D-T1 and CEOL N10 added to mini system line-up

Denon has expanded its popular line-up of mini Hi-Fi systems with the addition of the Denon D-T1 and the Denon CEOL N10.

The Denon D-T1 is its new entry-level Hi-Fi mini system, which is built around a slot-loading CD drive and a 2 x 15W Class D amplifier. The resulting CD receiver includes an AM/FM tuner, along with a pair of sound-tuned two-way speakers. The Denon D-T1 has built-in Bluetooth, an optical digital input, and an auxiliary input. There’s also a clock, alarm, and sleep timer, along with tone controls and a headphone output.

The Denon CEOL N10 is the fourth generation entry in the company’s CEOL range. This latest addition to the line-up includes support for the HEOS multiroom system, and uses improved 5GHz Wi-Fi with MIMO (Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) technology. This year Denon will also add Alexa Voice support and AirPlay 2 via a firmware update in August.

The N10 supports Hi-Res Audio, including DSD, and it has a built-in CD player, Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay. There’s Class D amplification that uses digital modulation to reduce analogue noise, new components and a revised circuit design for improved clarity, and a minimum power-path for better speaker drive capability.

The CEOL is available with or without speakers, but if you choose the speakers they have a new design that uses a high-stiffness cabinet, a new soft-dome tweeter, and an optimised passive crossover that is intended to work with the DSP speaker optimiser circuit in the N10.

The design has been updated, with a high-gloss top cover that is made of a hard-coated and scratch-resistant acrylic plate. This top cover also includes backlighted LED touch sensitive controls, while at the front is an improved OLED display.

The CEOL N10 has been designed to work in conjunction with your TV, and includes an optical digital audio input. There’s the option for auto turn on when the TV is turned on, and IR learning for the TV connection which allows you to control the volume, mute, input selection and power on the N10 from your TV remote control.

The Denon D-T1 Hi-Fi mini system is available in October 2018, with a choice of black or grey, and a suggested price of £269.

The Denon CEOL N10 Hi-Fi mini system is available in August 2018, with a choice of white, grey or black, and a suggested price of £449 without speakers and £549 with them included.
