Dell XPS 12 4K tablet hybrid leaks

Details have leaked of a new high-end Windows 10 hybrid tablet from Dell.
The Dell XPS 13 is a highly regarded top-end laptop, and now it appears there’s a Dell XPS 12 in the works.
As uncovered by German website WinFuture (via The Verge), the Dell XPS 12 could be a serious Microsoft Surface Pro 3 (or more likely 4) rival. The website has managed to obtain images of the new device, as well as some choice spec details.
The convertible tablet will apparently feature a 12.5-inch 4K touch display, and will run on an Intel Skylake CPU. Other alleged specs include a choice of either 4GB or 8GB of RAM and various capacities of SSD. In addition, the XPS 12 will support the Dell Active Stylus.
It’ll be well connected for such a compact device too, with two USB Type-C ports, an HDMI port, and an SD card reader.

As the images above show, the Dell XPS 12’s core tablet element will slot into a solid keyboard dock for a more traditional laptop experience than that provided by the somewhat precariously propped Microsoft Surface family.
The Dell World conference is set for October 21 and 22, so we’d bet good money on the Dell XPS 12 takin an official bow then.
