Dell XPS 12 2-in-1 is a 4K rival to the Surface Pro 3

Microsoft isn’t short of competition when it comes to high-end tablet-cum-laptops. Its Surface Pro 3 is under fire from the new iPad Pro, and now Dell is taking aim at it too, with the new XPS 12 2-in-1.
A leaked document (via Thurrot) spills the beans on the new hybrid.
The document says it has a backlit keyboard with “precision touchpad”, Thunderbolt 3 port, 10-hour battery life, an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facer.
It also has a Dell Active Stylus, which will hopefully give the Apple Pencil a run for its money.
Windows 10 comes as standard.
It looks very similar to the Surface Pro 3, with a kickstand and detachable keyboard.
The spec sheet makes no mention of the CPU, storage and RAM. It also doesn’t say whether there are any other USB ports and if you’ll need an adapter via Thunderbolt 3.

Dell isn’t the first PC maker with a Surface clone – details of a Lenovo hybrid have previously leaked. Like the Dell model, it should launch next month.
Looks like Apple is entering an increasingly crowded market. It’s also under threat from the bottom, if rumours of Amazon launching a $50 tablet – and refreshing its current range of slates – are true. But we’re sure it can hold its own.
