Deezer finally comes to Google Home smart speakers in the UK

After launching in France last year, you can now listen to the music streaming service Deezer on your Google Home smart speaker in the UK.
Alongside cooking timers, music continues to be one of the single biggest uses for smart speakers, and when it comes to voice control Deezer has a pretty neat trick up its sleeve.
That trick is ‘Flow’, a piece of Deezer technology that auto-generates a playlist for you based on your prior listening habits. Flow is nothing new, Deezer has had it in its app for a while now, but the feature is especially handy when you want to quickly get music playing without having to issue a lengthy voice command.
Once music is playing you can then further refine your Flow playlist by telling Google Assistant which songs you like and which you dislike. The service will also vary what music it plays depending on the time of day, so you shouldn’t find it playing your seductive evening playlist first thing in the morning.
Of course, you can also select music in more traditional ways by requesting songs by a particular artist or genre, or have Deezer play a select album.
To enable Deezer on Google Home you’ll need a Deezer Premium+ account, which costs £9.99 a month. Once you’ve got a subscription set up, head into your Google Home app, choose the ‘music’ option from the side menu, and follow the instructions from there.
