Dead Rising 4 launching just in time for Christmas

The release date for Dead Rising 4 has popped up on the Xbox Store, confirming a December 2016 launch.

First announced at Microsoft’s E3 2016 press conference, the latest entry in the undead franchise will take place during the festive season.

Knowing this, a December release date certainly seems fitting for the title. If the listing is correct, Dead Rising 4 will launch on 6 December 2016.

Dead Rising 4 will see the return of photojournalist Frank West as the main protagonist. As always, he’ll have access to a range of crazy, inventive weapons across a detailed open world.

One of the most notable new features is the ability to mod your character with different costumes and skills, which can be used to slaughter thousands of zombies.

Dead Rising 4 is coming exclusively to Xbox One later this year. It isn’t yet clear if the game will be available on other platforms.
