Create your own Just Cause 3 trailer and you could win a tonne of prizes

Square-Enix has launched a special competition for anyone willing to create their own Just Cause 3 trailer.

The Just Cause 3 developer is inviting fans to create their very own launch trailer for the game, with a prize package worth $5000 (£3230) up for grabs.

Potential contestants are being asked to create a one – two minute long trailer that “captures all the action, energy and atmosphere of Just Cause 3”.

The trailers will then be judged across three categories: Best Action, Best Use of Audio and Best Humour.

From those categories, one Best Overall Winner will be chosen to receive the grand prize.

Contestants can use the video footage in the online Creative Kit provided or create something themselves.

Anyone who doesn’t have their own editing software can download a full copy of Cakewalk’s SONAR Steam Edition.

“Just Cause 3 is a game designed with streamers and content creators in mind; a true sadnbox built to be explored and played creatively,” said Jon Brooke VP of Brand and European Marketing at Square-Enix. “To that end, it felt right to offer our fans – who’ve posted over 4 million Just Cause 2 trailers to YouTube since launch – the opportunity to create our launch trailer.”

“It takes a leap of faith to invite your fans to make something as important as your launch trailer, but we’re really excited to see what they come up with.”

Head to MyTrailer.JustCause.com and submit your entry by November 12 at 11:59pm GMT to be in with a chance of winning.
