Is Microsoft plotting new Xbox console for E3 launch?

Microsoft has filed a two new projects with the FCC, suggesting new Xbox hardware is in development.

The filings, titled 1682 and 1683, were first spotted by NeoGAF user ekim, who came across the listing yesterday.

The FCC regulates all data communication devices sold in the US, so any new hardware from Microsoft would have to go through them before an official announcement.

Upon further inspection, it can be seen that each filing includes an availability date. 1683 is set for June 25, and 1682 coming a month later on July 29.

This is shortly after E3 2016, leading some to speculate that Microsoft is planning to announce a new set of consoles at the event.

It’s all speculation at this point, but the appearance of such projects would match the PS4K and Xbox 1.5 rumours that have surfaced recently.

Microsoft will likely announce further details at its E3 press conference, set to take place at 4:30PM GMT on Monday, June 13.
