Images of a new Nokia device have been leaked on Twitter, and its intriguing nickname suggests that we can expect a super performance.
Renowned Twitter tipster Evan Blass (private account) has revealed an upcoming Nokia handset with the caption: “Nokia Captain America (5.2?)”.

From a glance at the image it seems clear that the nickname results from the quadruple rear camera module, which bears a strong relation to Captain America’s trademark circular vibranium shield.
Well, either that or because it’s been frozen in time since 1942, but that would seem unlikely.

The full specifications of the Nokia 5.2 are unclear at this point, but from the images we can see that the device will boast four rear camera sensors along with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The bezels on the front of device look fairly thin, albeit with prominent Nokia branding on the chin, and there appears to be a teardrop notch at the top of the display.
Further information included in the tweet reveals that the device is set to have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, with a retail price of $180 (~£138) upon its release around March 4.
It’s very likely that the handset will make its debut at MWC 2020, the tech event that will be held from 24 to 27 February in Barcelona.
While Nokia is still a household name, it is no longer the powerhouse it was in the early days of mobile phones thanks to a misguided partnership with Microsoft’s Windows Phone program.

The manufacturer has since been bought out by HMD Global, and our latest review of their efforts was of the Nokia 7.2, which we awarded 3.5 stars out of 5. Though the design is very attractive and the software is refreshingly simple, we were very underwhelmed with camera quality and battery.
Nokia must be hoping that the 5.2 “Captain America” will deliver an appropriately heroic performance to get the brand back to its glory days.
