Charles Dance delivers latest Witcher 3: Wild Hunt trailer

Celebrated British actor Charles Dance has shown off his vocal talents in the latest Witcher 3: Wild Hunt trailer.

The latest trailer, which you can watch below, shows Charles Dance in the studio recording his voice over for the character Emperor Emhyr var Emreis.

“This is my first videogame that I’ve performed in,” explained Dance. “It’s a whole new world for me. It’s quite exciting actually.”

You’ll probably know Charles Dance best as Tywin Lannister in the TV series Game of Thrones.

Little is known about Dance’s character, Emperor Emhyr var Emreis, at the moment, but through Dance’s spotlight trailer we’re certainly learning more about him.

“My character, he’s a very, very powerful man. Probably the most powerful man [in The Witcher 3]. And as such, he doesn’t need to through his weight around. He’s a man of few words, and the words he speaks, speak volumes,” said Dance of his character.

“And he’s ruthless. He’s ruthless because he has to be.”

The trailer goes on to show off some of the utter realism in The Witcher 3 and Dance gushes about the game’s cinematic techniques.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt release date is set for May 19 on PC, Xbox One and PS4. You can pre-order it here via the Witcher 3 website.
