Characters are going missing in The Division’s new update

The Division’s 1.1 update is causing player characters to randomly disappear, making them completely unplayable.

Players first noticed the issue after installing update 1.1, which rolled out for PC and consoles earlier this week.

Ubisoft acknowledged the issue in a recent forum post, saying it “requires further investigation.”

Unfortunately for those affected by the issue, it “will not be fixed with this hotfix,” so you’ll have to play the waiting game for now.

Update 1.1 includes the following changes, as well as some tweaks to the newly introduced incursion activities:

  • Named enemies in Challenge mode will now only guarantee one High-End item like all the other named enemies

  • Incursion: Falcon Lost

  • The APC will no longer take damage from players’ weapons

  • The APC’s Mortar weapon will now fire correctly

  • Several fixes to improve server stability

The issue will likely resolve itself soon enough, but it’s a nuisance for those looking forward to tackling the endgame raids, which debuted alongside the troublesome bug.
