Skype is entering into the live concert streaming game, but it’s all for a good cause.
The Microsoft-owned VoIP giant will provide live coverage of a David Bowie tribute show in New York on Friday night.
Due to “unprecedented interest” Skype has teamed up with the promoters and fundraising platform Ammado to offer access to The Music of David Bowie show at Carnegie Hall.

There are 18 acts currently confirmed to play Bowie songs at the event, and proceeds from streaming revenue will be donated to arts, music and entertainment charities.
