CamCarry: The plush case for your digital SLR

If you’re spending hundreds or even thousands of pounds on a digital SLR, you’ll want a case that protects it while looking stylish. That’s CamCarry.

It’s handcrafted from Italian leather, and looks like the kind of thing a Victorian explorer would take on his travels. Because each is handmade, each will be slightly different. There’s a video on the Kickstarter page showing the manufacturing process, so you can see the care and attention that goes into it.

Using the strap, you can wear it over your shoulder or around your waist. Or you can hook it around your belt, or lug it around by its carry handle.

An inside pocket houses an extra battery, SD card, earphones, or whatever else you want. Elastic straps mean you can keep cables in the lid.

It’s also available in black, if you don’t like the brown option. Though personally, we would go for the brown.

It will sell for £99 once the funding period is over, but you can pick one up for £59 if you’re quick. The £54 ones have all gone.

We love the classic design. There isn’t room for any more lenses though, which is a shame. If you’re taking your camera out, chances are you want more than one lens to give you more flexibility. Other than that, it’s a thumbs up from us.

It’s already raised over £9,000 of a £5,000 target, and still has 24 days to go.
