Call of Duty XP to return in 2016

Call of Duty XP, the popular fan convention last held five years ago prior to the launch of Modern Warfare 3, is returning this year.
The three-day event will take place from September 2-4 at the Forum in Inglewood, California, and is expected to attract over 10,000 fans.
Held by Activision, the event will host this year’s Call of Duty Championship where over 32 teams will compete for a grand prize of over $2 million.
“We wanted to seize the opportunity to bring back a great fan event and make it bigger,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing. “We’re going to have what’s sure to be our biggest championship ever for our Call of Duty World League.”

Call of Duty XP will also feature the worldwide multiplayer reveal for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare: Remastered.
We previously expected this be announced at E3 2016, so fans will have to wait a little longer to catch a glimpse of the latest COD.
“It’ll be a celebration of the franchise — past, present and future,” said Hirshberg. “It’s a good time for us to invite our fans, celebrate the championships and go big.”
