Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta off to stuttering start with PSN outage

If you were looking forward to hammering the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta after work on Friday, we’re awfully sorry.

While the Sony PS4 does have a timed exclusive on the beta for a while, sadly the PlayStation Network is down for many users.

“You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features,” Sony writes on its PSN status page.

Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.”

Anticipant Call of Duty players used less polite terms to describe the outage.

“PSN is gonna go down for half a year like in 2011, lmfao,” writes @Chimchxr.

Let’s hope Xbox One gamers have better luck next weekend. The game itself launches in 3 weeks, on November 4.
