Call of Duty: Ghosts single player campaign trailer released

Infinity Ward has released the Call of Duty: Ghosts single player campaign trailer, revealing that part of the main storyline takes place in space.

Giving a few hints as to how the Call of Duty: Ghosts storyline will play out, the campaign trailer showcases a mission in space and action on an aircraft carrier.

Published on the official Call of Duty YouTube page, the campaign trailer is nearly three minutes long and should build the hype surrounding the next COD title ahead of its November 5 release date.

The trailer starts with some footage of the outer space action, followed by nearly two minutes of cheesy dialogue from a B-movie.

“You never expect something you trust to turn against you. The [Raads] didn’t just decimate the lands, they left us open to full scale invasion,” states the trailer voiceover. “Our new enemies advanced from south of the Equator overwhelming an already crippled nation. But I trained you well. And you won’t be alone.”

This is followed by a slightly biblical reference of the Christian faith, about the sacrifice of a son.

“A man who truly loves his country doesn’t just give his life, he gives his son’s.”

Of course, the Call of Duty: Ghosts’ dog, Riley also makes an appearance in the campaign trailer.

It’s all very over the top, as expected from a Call of Duty game, especially seeing what we’ve experienced in the past.

We’re not sure yet whether we’re more or less excited about Call of Duty: Ghosts after watching the campaign trailer with all its outer space explosions, but we’re certainly intrigued.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 5. The COD title will also be a launch title for the Xbox One and PS4.
