BT TV now supports Netflix 4K
BT has become the first UK TV service to support Netflix 4K.
From today, BT TV customers can access Netflix’s Ultra HD content through their YouView+ set-top-boxes – provided they’re also subscribing to the £8.99-per-month Ultra HD Netflix plan, of course.
BT has been a bit of a front runner when it comes to offering 4K content in the UK. It got in early with its BT Sport Ultra HD channel.
Now BT customers can enjoy some top notch 4K drama and documentaries alongside their super-sharp sport, with the likes of House of Cards, Narcos, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, What Happened, Miss Simone? and Better Call Saul all available in Ultra HD through Netflix.
Subscribing to Netflix through BT has other benefits. For one thing, that additional subscription cost gets absorbed into your BT bill, so there’s no separate payment to worry about.

Also, streaming Netflix through a BT box doesn’t impact your broadband download allowance – which is particularly useful if you’re going to be streaming in 4K.
In order to make use of this, customers need to have a 4K-compatible TV (obviously), and you’ll also need to sign up to BT TV’s Total Entertainment package for £15 a month.
