Amazon Prime Video and Now TV are joining Netflix on BT TV

Amazon Prime Video and Now TV will soon be available to BT TV customers through the YouView box.

BT this week announced new deals with both Amazon and arch-rival Sky, which will see fresh content appear on the platform from later this month.

The move means BT TV will be the first major TV platform to support Amazon Prime Video, with both Sky and Virgin yet to embrace the service.

“BT will be the first major UK TV platform to offer Prime Video through its set top boxes, allowing Prime Members to access thousands of TV episodes and movies, including award-winning Prime Originals and exclusive series like The Grand Tour, The Man in the High Castle, Lucifer, and Vikings, the firm said.

At a press event, BT explained that Amazon Prime Video would go live on BT TV later this month, with Now TV following in early 2019.

One of the main benefits of accessing Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Now TV through BT TV instead of an additional service is that you’ll be able to use a single search engine for all three of the streaming programs.

You won’t have multiple remote controls to worry about either, and you’ll get one bill for everything.
