The studio behind LawBreakers and Radical Heights is closing its doors

Cliff Bleszinski has announced the closure of Boss Key Productions followed the unfortunate reception of LawBreakers and Radical Heights.
First formed back in April 2014, the development studio’s first title, LawBreakers, tried to challenge the likes of Overwatch but failed to maintain a solid audience despite critical acclaim.
After announcing it would be cutting support for the game, Boss Key shortly after revealed Radical Heights – it’s own take on the popular battle royale genre.
Unfortunately, as studio head Cliff Bleszinski said in a recent statement, it was “too little too late.”

60 or so employees have been made redundant over the closure, although the above statement claims that Radical Heights will continue to receive support in the foreseeable future.
Competing against the likes of PUBG and Fortnite wasn’t going to be easy for anyone, and it seems Boss Key Productions was simply too late to the punch.
LawBreakers was equally as challenged by the market it tried to penetrate, being one too many in a world already crowded with beloved shooters.
How long the servers for Radical Heights and Fortnite will remain online is unknown, although we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
