Bored at work? Solitaire is now just a Google search away

Since the launch of Windows 3.0 in 1990, people have been avoiding work by playing solitaire on their computers.

Now Google has made stealing a living even easier by adding solitaire and naughts and crosses (tic-tac-toe to our friends across the pond) directly to search results.

All you need to do is search for ‘solitaire’ or ‘tic-tac-toe’ and begin to play. The latter even enables two player combat at easy, medium or hard modes.

“These are just a sample of the delightful surprises that await you on Google,” the product manager Stephen Cognetta admitted on the search blog.

“After all, Search is for so much more than research and practical matters — it’s for fun, too!”

We apologize for the delay in bringing you this post, we’ve just spent the last 30 minutes hammering Google at naughts and crosses.
