Bloodborne EP confirmed, details coming later this year

Sony has confirmed the first batch of Bloodborne DLC will arrive later this year.
Although Sony didn’t go into details as to what the DLC will be, at least we can be confident that some kind of expansion for the From Software title.
The DLC confirmation came direct from Sony’s Head of Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida on Twitter.
“So I have been asked by many people if we are making DLC for Bloodborne. I can say… An expansion is coming. More info later this year,” he said.
Later Bloodborne producer Masaaki Yamagiwa added that although the DLC is currently “under production”, a new update for Bloodborne – version 1.04 – should arrive on May 25.
It’s not unusual for From Software to release game DLC a good length of time after the original game is released.
Take Dark Souls for example. Its DLC entitled Artorias of the Abyss arrived around a year after Dark Souls was released.
There wasn’t quite such a wait for the trio of DLC add-ons for Dark Souls 2 though.

Bloodborne was released in March exclusively for the PS4. It was launched to critical acclaim, only missing out on the UK chart top spot because of the release of Battlefield Hardline just days before.
