Blade Runner 2049 teaser trailer sees the return of Deckard

As far as waits for sequels go, the 32-year gap between Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens takes some beating.
Harrison Ford was one of the actors to appear in both Episodes VI and VII and next year he’ll repeat the feat when the follow-up to the beloved sci-fi classic Blade Runner finally arrives in cinemas.
The first trailer for Blade Runner 2049 arrived on Monday, with Ford reprising his role as Rick Deckard, the now-ex replicant-hunting police officer.
This time he’s joined by Ryan Gosling, who appears to be performing the same job thirty-years on, as LAPD officer “K”
“I did your job once,” says Deckard. “I was good at it.”
“Things were simpler then,” K responds.
Unfortunately, there’s not much else to go on, but this is a teaser after all.
Sadly, the waiting isn’t over as Blade Runner 2049 won’t arrive until October 2017. It’ll be executive produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Denis Villeneuve of Arrival fame.
The original helped to shape human thinking on artificial intelligence for decades. We can’t wait to see this modern take, 30 years on.
