The heavily-rumoured BlackBerry Venice Android phone will look more like a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge than a Bold, judging by a snap leaked on Wednesday.
CrackBerry has obtained an image of a device that’s likely to be the Canadian company’s first attempt at a smartphone running Google’s market leading OS.
The slider handset has been leaked before through renders and mock-ups, while BlackBerry itself showed off a prototype device at Mobile World Congress back in February.
This blurry-cam shot shows the device out in the wild for the first time, seemingly confirming those curved edges on both sides of the display.
Previous reports have suggested the device, which will have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard to suit traditional BlackBerry users, will also boast a relatively decent spec sheet.
Powering the device is said to be a Snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB RAM, making it – on paper – a match for plenty of the mid-to-high-end Android phones on the market.
While the photo doesn’t show Android running on the device it would certainly appear this is the oft-spoken of Venice device.

Although the leaked snap would suggest the device isn’t far from an official launch, there’s little indication of when the smartphone pioneer will make the Venice handset available.
