BlackBerry Passport follow-up leaked

Images and specs have leaked of a follow-up to the divisive BlackBerry Passport smartphone.
The original BlackBerry Passport launched late last year to widespread confusion and only a little love from a relatively small band of BlackBerry fans.
Its key selling point – and the reason many couldn’t get on with it – was its large square form factor. It was literally the size and shape of a passport.
BlackBerry doesn’t seem to have been deterred by the negative press, and is pressing on with a quick follow-up. At least, that’s what seems to be the case based on recently leaked details for a so-called BlackBerry Oslo.
As revealed by N4BB, the Oslo will effectively be a re-do of the BlackBerry Passport. It has the same square form factor, and even the exact same specs.
That means a 2.2GHz MSM8974 Snapdragon processor, 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel main camera, a 3450mAh battery, and presumably the same 4.5-inch 1400 x 1400 screen. As for software, it seems to be running a final build of BlackBerry 10.3.2.

The key difference here appears to be in the Oslo’s construction. This time it appears to be a combination of steel frame and silver plastic, with a textured rubberised back.
It’s speculated that the BlackBerry Oslo may well be the Passport that makes its way to the Chinese market.
