BlackBerry 9630 Niagara Leaked

Canadians' sieve security shows no sign of reinforcement.

Who is this bad boy? Oh just another top end BlackBerry ‘leaked’ from the jelly walls of RIM HQ…

Allegedly called the ‘BlackBerry 9630 Niagara’ (in which case that ”is” what it will be called as all BlackBerry leaks end up being on the money), it looks like an exciting successor to the excellent Curve 8900.

According to reports from CrackBerry, the new model will see 3G added this time around plus the gorgeous 480 x 360 pixel display and GPS maintained. That said, the sadly disappointing 3.2MP camera is sticking around too and talk is WiFi could well be dropped – a daft Storm mistake that surely RIM is too smart to repeat again?!

No word on a launch date as yet, but this doesn’t look too distant future in my eyes and it should be turning up on both sides of the Atlantic fairly soon.

So we get a sequel to the Curve 8900 in super quick time and not a sausage on a rather more urgent Storm 2.0. Hmmmn, let’s see how long RIM is able to sit still on that inevitable touchscreen second attempt once Apple reveals its iPhone OS 3.0 details later today…

I sense jelly walls.
