Currys PC World is selling 100 large-screen TVs every minute

Black Friday is in full swing, and it’s no surprise retailers are raking in some serious cash.

Currys PC World has announced that it’s currently selling 100 large-screen TVs every single minute.

The retailer reports that its website is handling over 400,000 visitors per hour – that’s a 70% rise on last year.

Aside from TVs, Currys PC World notes other successful sellers as Apple iPads, the Dyson V6 Animal vacuum cleaner, the Delonghi Dolce Gusto hot drinks machine, and LG’s 2.1 wireless sound bar.

In the last few hours of trading we’ve seen a 36% increase in online orders compared to Black Friday 2014 with 3.5 million visits to the site today alone,” says Stuart Ramage, E-Commerce Director at Currys PC World.

Ramage continues: “Our reservations for Reserve and Collect are up 18% on last year so as the day progresses, we expect customers to head in-store to collect their deals.”

“We continue to see record-breaking traffic and look forward to seeing how the next few hours progress,” he adds.
