The Beoplay P6 beefs up the sound without sacrificing portability

B&O Play is all about combining sleek Scandinavian design with hard hitting sound, and its latest P6 speaker is no different.
Unlike the previously released A1, the P6 stands loud and proud, meaning it’s able to deliver 360-degree sound from its body rather than firing it directly upwards like the A1 did.
But despite the increased size and beefier 215W of power, the P6 maintains the portability of its smaller siblings, with 16 hour battery life and splash and dust resistance that will mean it won’t complain too much about getting wet — just don’t try submerging it in a swimming pool OK?
It’s even got a little handle on there, just in case you were under any illusions about it being designed to be taken out and about.
Five buttons on the top of the speaker handle your standard volume, playback and pairing duties, but there’s also an additional button for accessing your voice assistant, which should make it easier to control your music without having to unlock your phone. There’s also a single USB-C port, which handles charging duties.
The Beoplay P6 will cost £349 when it launches on April 23.
