Behringer iNuke Boom Takes iPod Docks Nuclear

The idea of an iPod dock that measures 4 foot by 8 foot, weighs over 315kgs, pumps out 10,000 Watts of power and costs $30,000 seems like an idea that was dreamed up by a couple of overly imaginative teenagers – or a respectable German audio company.

The Behringer iNuke Boom is an iPod dock like no other. It will fill your entire living room – with its physical size as well as ear-shattering sound. The dock will be shown off at CES next month in Las Vegas and we’ll be there to get our hands on the monstrosity.

Behringer iNuke Boom

Behringer, a German company more well known for its professional audio products, has unveiled this ridiculous device to highlight the launch of its Eurosound line of consumer devices.

The Eurosound range comprises of more than 50 products which are categorised as Home, Live, Portable and Creation. The Home line promises a professional, live concert sound in the comfort of your home; Eurosound Live products amplify your sound; Eurosound Portable products deliver a mobile audio experience, while the Creation line lets you make professional music.

Classifying this product under Portable Audio is stretching things a little and we don’t expect to see too many of these monsters sitting under Christmas trees this year.
