Battlefield Hardline affected by DDoS attack on Xbox One

Battlefield Hardline on Xbox One is being affected by a DDoS attack.
EA Games has revealed the Xbox One version of Battlefield Hardline is having issues due to a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack.
The latest Battlefield game, coming for the first time from developer Visceral Games, launched today in the US and now some Xbox One users are experiencing online connectivity issues.
EA confirmed the issues are down to a DDoS attack on the game via Twitter.
“We are aware of #BFHardline connectivity issues on Xbox One. We’ve got our best on it and hope to resolve it soon. Thanks for your patience,” came the official tweet.
The publisher then updated fans confirming it is currently tackling a DDoS attack.

Although Xbox One users might be having a few issues getting online, the overall launch for the game has been smooth.
Especially when you look at the problems Battlefield 4 was riddled with at launch. The Battlefield 4 launch issues were so huge that even EA itself deemed them “unacceptable”.
EA worked to fix all the issues over the past year and a half, but it’s impossible to say the Battlefield brand hasn’t been tainted as a whole by the experience.
It may have helped that Battlefield Hardline has a staggered launch. It launched in the US yesterday and has been accessible via a trail in EA Access since March 12. The Battlefield Hardline UK all-platform release date happens this Friday, March 20.
