Battlefield 5 will be officially revealed at an event on May 6, 2016, according to a number of reports.
Developer DICE is currently sending out invites to the ‘World Premiere’ of Battlefield 5, set to take place next week.
German Youtuber mashed8 posted his invitation to the event online, spilling the beans on EA’s new shooter:

The invitation reads: “The future of Battlefield is coming, and you’re invited to the world premiere. On May 6th, join us as we unveil the next milestone in the Battlefield franchise.”
It is unclear how many people have been invited to the event, but we’re bound to see a bunch of information on Battlefield 5.

The last game in the franchise was Battlefield: Hardline, a spinoff title developed by Visceral Games in collaboration with DICE. Hardline launched to critical and commercial success earlier last year.
