Battlefield 4 Second Assault DLC available for Xbox One now

DICE has launched the Battlefield 4 Second Assault DLC for the Xbox One complete with a new trailer.

The Battlefield 4 Second Assault DLC and trailer launch coincides with the Xbox One release date which occurred today, November 22, in 13 worldwide markets.

The Second Assault DLC is a timed exclusive for Battlefield Premium members on the Xbox One. It will be released to other platforms like the PS4 at a later, currently unknown, date.

“Battlefield 4 Second Assault features four fan-favourite maps from Battlefield 3, redesigned to take full advantage of the Frostbite 3 engine and includes new multiplayer features from BF4”, reads the official blurb. “Available first on Xbox One: November 22 for Premium members.”

One of five Battlefield 4 expansions due to be released by summer 2014, Second Assault will be followed by China Rising in December.

All the Battlefield 4 DLC can be obtained by becoming a Battlefield 4 Premium member for £39.99. The membership fee includes all five upcoming expansion packs – China Rising, Second Assault, Naval Strike, Dragon’s Teeth and Final Stand – as well as two weeks early access to each pack.

EA Games has also made sure that you’re Premium subscription is future proof too, as all memberships seamlessly transfer from Xbox 360 to Xbox One and from PS3 to PS4.

As long as you have the next-gen copy of the game, you’ll automatically get the DLC packs on Xbox One and PS4 as well as their current-gen alternatives.

With Premium subscriptions you also get priority position in server queues, access to double XP events and 12 battlepacks among other perks.
