Battlefield 4 release date leaked as October 29

Following the game’s recent unveiling, latest leaks have suggested that a Battlefield 4 release date will be held on October 29.

A Tuesday launch which would be fitting with the eagerly awaited title’s high-profile nature, the official Xbox website has prematurely leaked the late October Battlefield 4 release date, a highly convincing leak that has since been removed from the manufacturer’s site.

“DICE, a studio of Electronic Arts, announced that Battlefield 4 will arrive on the Xbox 360 on October 29, 2013,” the overly eager blog post on Xbox.com stated.

Having accidentally spilt the beans on the launch of the Call of Duty rival, the Microsoft owned website has now amended its reports, stating simply: “DICE, a studio of Electronic Arts, announced that Battlefield 4 is coming to the Xbox 360.”

Although publisher EA has yet to formally pinpoint a date for the Battlefield 4 release date, the gaming giant, in unveiling the game in San Francisco last weeks confirmed that the title will hit retailers in “fall 2013,” an arrival period that would be fitting with the latest leaks. Adding further credibility to the leaked Battlefield 4 release date claims, the title’s predecessor, Battlefield 3 was launched on October 25 2011.

Battlefield 4 PS4 Rumours

Whilst EA has confirmed that a Battlefield 4 release date will see the first-person shooter touch down for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC gamers, much speculation still surrounds whether a Battlefield 4 PS4 release will be made available in line with the console’s “2013 holiday season” launch.

Although the publisher has yet to publically confirm the reports, it has been claimed that EA executives recently revealed a Battlefield 4 PS4 launch is indeed on the cards.

“While the PS4 edition is not currently listed on the official pre-order site for the game, an Electronic Arts official confirmed that the game is coming to the platform,” latest reports suggested. “The game is coming to Windows PC, PS3, PS4 and Xbox 360.”
