Barcelona vs Roma Live Stream: Watch the Champions League online

Barcelona vs Roma Live Stream: Watch the Champions League online this Wednesday

Barcelona, one of the favourites for this season’s competition, take on Italian giants Roma tonight for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie. Our guide reveals all you need to know to watch Barcelona vs Roma online, including full live stream details and the kick-off time.

We imagine most eyes will be on the Liverpool vs Man City game at Anfield tonight, but Barca’s tie could be a tighter affair than many might assume. The Giallorossi were impressive in the group stages, beating both Chelsea and Atletico Madrid to first place and, in Edin Dzeko, Stephan El Shaarawy and Radja Nainggolan − who is, admittedly, an injury doubt − they have proven top-level talent.

However, Barcelona, led by the frighteningly talented Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, are the undoubted favourites. With world-class quality in every position, even after the departure of Neymar at the start of the season, the Blaugrana will be confident of going all the way in this year’s competition.

Roma, however, will be doubly determined to put on a good show after Juventus’ thrashing at the hands of Real Madrid last night. The reigning Italian champions look to be as good as out of the competition after going down 3-0 at home, and Italy’s hopes now rest on the side that carries Romulus, Remus and the mythical she-wolf on their crest.

Watching the big game couldn’t be easier – as long as you’ve got the right TV package.

BT Sport have exclusive rights to this encounter, meaning the match will be shown on BT Sport 3, with coverage starting at 7pm BST and the game kicking off at 7.45pm. If you do subscribe to BT Sport, you’ll also be able to live stream the clash, either via the BT Sport website or the BT Sport app.

Here are the quick-links you need to get started.

Failing that, we fear you’re out of luck. UEFA won a recent injunction against illegal online football streams, meaning that UK ISPs will be required to crack down on pirate Champions League and Europa League feeds. We wouldn’t recommend going down this route anyway, as not only does it fall foul of the law, but it can open you up to all kinds of malware and other digital nasties.

If you haven’t yet signed up for BT Sport, it’s surprisingly affordable – and you can find out how to do so here. Note that it can take a few hours for channels and streaming access to activate after signing up, so act fast to avoid disappointment.
