The Assassin’s Creed movie, starring Michael Fassbender, is set for release this Christmas, and the VR experience will include scenes shot alongside the blockbuster.
The VR title was announced at GDC, and is being made by Fox and Practical Magic. During the announcement, Practical Magic boss Matthew Lewis pointed out this is “not a game” (quotes via Eurogamer). There was no release date nor platforms revealed for Assassin’s Creed VR. Hopefully the experience will include some first-person diving into haystacks and plenty of parkour.

In terms of games, fans will not see a new entry to the Assassin’s Creed series this year, with Ubisoft recently confirming it will take a year’s break before returning in 2017.
