Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD arrives for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC

Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD is now available for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC via digital download.

The game originally launched as a PS Vita game but has now been remade in HD for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Ubisoft has also improved the gameplay mechanics of the PS Vita game that was released over a year ago, entitled Assassin’s Creed III Liberation.

Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD not only includes complete audio and graphics overhauls, but offers new missions.

The game features the first playable female Assassin, Aveline de Grandpré, who has been named one of the most popular leads in the Assassin’s Creed series.

She even featured in a few missions in the latest Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, which could be specially downloaded for free from the AC4 main menu.

The Liberation HD version allows you to use Aveline’s trademark whip in both combat and navigation for the first time. We’re not quite sure how the whip will be utilised in navigation yet, but we’d be interested to find out.

Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD is set in New Orleans and offers you the chance to explore bayous, jungles, Mayan ruins as well as the port city itself.

The game is available as a digital download from today, January 15, for £15.99.

However, you will be able to get a 25 per cent discount on Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD for the Xbox 360 if you have the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag season pass. However, you’ll need to purchase it within the next two weeks to get the discount.

“If you’re logged in with the same account that purchased the Season Pass, then the discount will automatically appear when you go to purchase the game,” explained a Ubisoft spokesperson.

This means you’ll be able to get Liberation HD for £11.99 rather than £15.99.

You should be able to get the discount even when purchasing the game through the Xbox Live storefront directly, but we advise you double check the pricing in the store option within the AC4 menu first.
