Argos Xbox One X ‘one minute past midnight’ delivery service launch is a success
Argos has launched a brand new delivery service to coincide with the upcoming Xbox One X release: deliveries at midnight.
(Update: November 10, 2017): It turns out that Argos managed a successful debut of its midnight deliveries scheme.
Argos even named Neil Hart from Wimbledon as one of the first people in the UK to receive an Xbox One X at one-minute past midnight on the launch day – all thanks to Argos’s Fast Track Delivery Service.

Unless you’re willing to queue outside your local game store in frosty November weather at midnight on release day, you’ll have to wait until the next day to pick up Microsoft’s Xbox One X games console. Or least, some of you will.
In a bid to better serve game-happy customers, Argos is debuting a new delivery service that will see new Xbox One X consoles delivered at “exactly one-minute past midnight on the day of the console’s launch” – that’s Tuesday, November 7. Even better, the console will be delivered directly to your door by the Argos Fast Track team.

Speaking about the new service, Darren Frost, who heads up Fast Track Delivery at Argos, said: “The launch of the Xbox One X is a momentous occasion in the gaming calendar and fans have been waiting patiently in anticipation of its release.”
He continued: “We’re delighted to offer a selected number of our customers the ultimate in convenience, with a delivery right to their doorstep just after midnight – making them the very first in the UK to get their hands on this coveted console.”

To get in on the action, you’ll need to have pre-ordered the console and paid for the £3.95 Fast Track service. It’s also worth noting that this trial is only being offered to customers living in London Zones 1-5. You’ll have to apply for a limited pre-order slot – details will be announced via the @Argos_Online Twitter page after 8am on Wednesday, October 25.

If you miss out on the midnight delivery, you’ll still be glad to hear that you can get same-day delivery from Argos in as little as four hours if you order by 6pm with Fast Track – assuming you’re within one of the 90% of UK postcodes covered by the service.
The Xbox One X will be available for purchase on Tuesday, November 7, and will set you back a lofty £449.99. The console features improved graphical processing heft – up to six teraflops of GPU power – to support 4K gaming, so it’s almost certainly going to be a popular buy.
