Apple website redesign gets rid of Store

Apple has streamlined the design of its website and removed the separate Store section.
With the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus highly likely to be just around the corner, not to mention an all-new Apple TV, Apple has just revamped its website.
As part of the redesign, Apple has completely removed the Store tab that has sat at the top of the home page for some time. There is no store.apple.com anymore.
Of course, Apple hasn’t removed the ability to purchase its expensive trinkets. That would be silly. Rather, the company has integrated the purchasing process into the general browsing experience.
Purchase buttons and product options are now featured in each of the product info pages, and when you navigate to those purchase pages, the whole process is handled on one page.
Apple told TechCrunch that “The new Apple.com takes the very best of our existing site and our online store to give customers one simple destination to learn and buy without navigating between two different sites.”
In truth, it makes a lot of sense. It always felt a little odd jumping to a completely different website just to make a purchase. It wasn’t very Apple.

Also out goes the old shopping cart, to be replaced by a unified shopping bag that offers a drop-down reminder of what you’re purchasing wherever in the website you are.
Additionally, Apple has given third party accessories some attention in each of the appropriate sections, with a browsing experience that’s more in line with that of Apple’s own products.
