Apple Watch gets new super-luxury Hermès straps

Unlike many of its rivals, the Apple Watch has done a great job at pandering to luxury buyers.

Apple will soon start selling new standalone Hermès watch bands, starting April 19.

Hermès has already collaborated with Apple on the Apple Watch, although the band could only be purchased with the device attached.

Now, however, you’ll be able to buy the bands outright and attach them to your regular Apple Watch.

What’s more, the bands are now available in four new colours – feu red, blanc white, bleu paon green, and blue saphir blue – as well as the original fauve brown.

The bands will come in three options: Single Tour ($340), Double Tour ($490), and Cuff ($690).

It’s worth noting that not all of the colours are available for both the 38mm and 42mm Apple Watch variants, so make sure to check your size before splashing out on a new strap.

Related: Apple Watch 2

Apple recently added a new range of bands and colours to its Apple Watch strap range, announced at last month’s iPhone SE launch event.

There were rumours that the event would also herald the launch of the Apple Watch 2, but Apple has remained silent on the possibility of a sequel.
