Apple Watch faces off against a rifle, loses badly

Having put Apple’s first wearable up against a series of drop tests, scratch tests and the odd bit of sandpaper, the internet has now pitted the Apple Watch against a .50-caliber rifle.

The result? Well, as you can see in the video below, instant and total annihilation.

The wearable is split (not so cleanly) in half. The strap is blown off and the timepiece is even engulfed in a small fireball as the battery combusts.

What does this prove? Absolutely nothing, but when shot in slow motion it all looks pretty cool and very dramatic.

The Apple Watch was officially made available for purchase, last Friday, April 24, although stock limitations mean the device still can’t be snapped up in store.
