If you don’t already feel like something a ‘Genius’ scraped off their shoe every time you enter an Apple Store, just wait until the big money ballers show up to try on the Apple Watch.
Reports on Wednesday claimed Apple is planning to furnish those interested in buying the 18-carat gold Apple Watch Edition with twice as long to play with the device as those interested in the cheaper-yet-still-hugely-expensive alternatives.
According to the International Business Times, those seeking to try on the Edition timepiece, which starts at £8,000, will apparently get half an hour to mull over their purchase.
All indications to this point have suggested the appointments for the standard and Sport variants will be limited to 15-minutes.
Thankfully, according to the IBT, even those who pretend to be interested in the Apple Watch Edition will get the half an hour.
From the April 10 pre-order date interested parties will apparently be asked to register their interest in a particular model, using the Apple Store iOS app or Apple website. That preference will then be linked to the Apple ID and used in the appointment-making process. When would-be buyers show up to the appointment, the corresponding models will be prepared.

The unnamed Apple employees quoted by the story could not confirm whether every Apple Store will have the 18-carat model in stock. However, the sources did confirm the stores will get a visual overhaul when the Watch lands on April 10 ahead of the on-sale date two weeks later.
