Apple has revealed plans to create new London headquarters at Battersea Power Station once a £9 billion renovation project has been completed.
1,400 Apple staff from eight sites will be moved into the Grade II listed building in 2021, with Apple set to occupy 40% of the complex, as reported by the Evening Standard.
The former electricity generator was left vacant for 33 years but has recently been undergoing restoration.

Apple will lease 500,000 square feet of the completed campus, making the new London HQ one of the company’s largest offices outside of the US.
Despite the news that Tim Cook’s firm will be moving into the renovated building, Apple’s European headquarters will reportedly remain in Cork, Ireland.
4,000 employees currently work in the Irish campus, making Apple the largest private employer in Cork.

Apple said in a statement to the Standard that it was looking forward to the opening of the new offices in London.
“This is a great opportunity to have our entire team working and collaborating in one location while supporting the renovation of a neighbourhood rich with history.”
Staff reportedly moving to the site will include those from finance and HR, who will “occupy the top six floors inside the former boiler house around a huge central atrium.”
Meanwhile, the new Apple Campus 2, currently under construction in California, is set to be completed by the end of the year.
