Apple has released iOS 9.3.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch in order to fix a bug causing apps to crash whenever a web link is tapped.
The flaw, which was discovered during the last week, had seen both first and third-party apps freeze when the URL was tapped or long pressed.

Although this is the first numbered update for iOS 9.3, it’s the third re-release since the launch following Apple’s spring forward event last week.
The company was forced to reissue iOS 9.3 for iPad 2 owners whose devices had been effectively bricked by an authentication.
A second release arrived shortly after to cure a similar issue for owners of older iOS devices.
Apple will hope today’s release will stabilise all issues and users can crack on with awesome new features like Night Shift without too much hassle.
