Apple Music naturally gets first play of Dre’s Compton album

Dr. Dre’s first album in 16 years will premiere on Apple Music on Thursday night, Beats 1 DJ Zane Lowe has revealed.
The first play of Compton: A Soundtrack will play uncensored between 6pm and 9pm PDT (that’s from 2-5am UK time) on Apple’s new streaming service.
In the tweet (via The Verge) published on Tuesday, Lowe wrote:

There are two somewhat surprising elements to consider here. The first is the relaxing of Apple’s censorship rules, given it’s no-naughty-language policy on Beats 1.
Secondly, given Dre’s status as an Apple employee, his role in bringing Apple Music to life and his Beats 1 show The Pharmacy, it’s a little surprising the period of exclusivity doesn’t last beyond the night.

The album, which confusingly isn’t the soundtrack for the forthcoming N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, is said to be inspired by the rapper and producer’s memories of the LA district.
