Apple 128GB iPad 4 released in UK and US
Apple has expanded its range of iPad branded tablets with the recently unveiled 128GB iPad 4 release seeing the oversized storage option available for purchase today, February 5.
Building on the existing base of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB iPad storage options, the new 128GB iPad 4 is available to purchase in the UK and US now with the increased storage capacity setting wannabe owners back £639 and £739 for the Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi plus 4G variants respectively.
Whilst the 128GB iPad 4 has launched today, Apple’s online store still lists both connectivity options with ‘1 -3 business days’ shipping estimations, suggesting the new iPad option has exceeded pre-order estimations, limiting launch day stocks.
“With more than 120 million iPads sold, it’s clear that customers around the world love their iPads, and everyday they are finding more great reasons to work, learn and play on their iPads rather than their old PCs,” Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Philip Schiller said last week in unveiling the 128GB iPad 4. “With twice the storage capacity and an unparalleled selection of over 300,000 native iPad apps, enterprises, educators and artists have even more reasons to use iPad for all their business and personal needs.”
128GB iPad 4 Specs
Asides from its newly plumped storage capacity, the 128GB iPad 4 features the same collection of innards as its trio of sub-sized storage options.
Coming pre-installed with the recently launched iOS 6.1 update, the new 128GB iPad 4 specs sheet sees the tablet host a 9.7-inch Retina display with the eye-catching screen hosting a 2048 x 1536p resolution and a 264 pixels-per-inch image density.
Running a zippy A6X dual-core processor, the 128GB iPad 4, which features a 10 hour battery life, hosts two integrated cameras, with the 5-megapixel rear-mounted option sporting 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities. A second, 1.2-megapixel FaceTime snapper sits on the device’s fore enabling video calling possibilities.
