Android 8.0 Oreo will arrive on the BlackBerry KEYone later this month
We’ve long known that the Android 8.0 Oreo update is headed to the BlackBerry KEYone – and now we finally know when it will arrive.
Canadian carrier Rogers has revealed that it will start rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for its carrier-branded variant of the KEYone on June 28, with the release scheduled to arrive on other models in North America soon thereafter.
That’s good news for KEYone owners south of the Canadian border, because, as PhoneArena noted, US carriers tend to roll out major software updates almost immediately after operators on the other side of the wall release them.

This news comes a little more than a week after Rogers released an update to prepare the KEYone for Android 8.0 Oreo. The exact same upgrade started making the rounds for the factory unlocked variant of the handset a couple of days later.
Android 8.0 Oreo, for those unaware, transports a slew of neat new features, such as support for Picture-in-Picture (PiP), notification channels, adaptive icons and circular emoji, as well as a number of much-needed bug fixes.
