This America vs Japan giant robot duel is going to be epic
We’ve been waiting an eternity to watch the world’s first giant robot fight, and now our time has finally come.
The USA’s MegaBots battle against Suidobashi of Japan is getting streamed on Twitch on Wednesday October 18 at 3am BST.
If you don’t feel like staying up that late (or rising quite so early), you’ll be able to catch up on YouTube and Facebook after the event so you needn’t miss a minute of the metal-on-metal madness.
To give you a sense of the enormity of the fight, the American Eagle Prime competitor is 16 feet tall and weighs a whopping 12 tonnes, which is about as heavy as a London bus.

Kuratas, Japan’s brave challenger, is a slightly shorter 13-footer that weighs almost half as much at 6.5 tonnes.
If this super-sized Robot Wars bout is half as entertaining as the BBC classic then we’re in for a wreck-tastic treat.
