Amazon UK’s Prime Now one-hour delivery service expands again

Amazon is continuing its gradual rollout of the Prime Now one-hour delivery service here in the UK. Next up: Surrey.
The online retailer has been slowly making its way across the UK with its speedy delivery service since June 2015, when it launched in London. Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester and Liverpool have followed.
Now Amazon UK has announced that the Prime Now service is available in leafy Surrey. This means that Prime members living in the likes of Camberley, Lightwater and Aldershot can now choose a speedy delivery on 15,000 items within one hour of ordering for £6.99.
Alternatively, said customers can opt for free delivery within a choice of two-hour same-day delivery slots between 8am and midnight. That applies seven days a week, too.

The benefits will also spill out into surrounding areas, with two hour deliveries now an option in other parts of Surrey as well as certain Hampshire and Berkshire postcodes.
If you’re wandering just how fast this UK delivery can get, Amazon cites an instance where a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for the PS4 was ordered at 10:06am, shipped from Amazon’s Erdington delivery station in Birmingham and delivered at 10:21am to a postcode in Castle Vale. That’s fast.
