According to Amazon’s terms and conditions, the offer will last from 8pm last night to a minute before midnight tonight, so anyone wanting to purchase the Amazon Kindle during the Special One Day Offer should move quickly.

Amazon Kindle Features
The 2012 edition of the Amazon Kindle is a light-weight 6-inch e-reader aimed to fit in the average pocket, weighing in at 170 grams and just 8.7mm thick. E-Ink Pearl technology allows readers to view the Amazon Kindle display at any angle, with no glare even in direct sunlight.

Capable of holding up to 1,400 e-books from the Amazon libraries, Amazon Kindle owners can purchase a title for £3.99 or less via the in-build Wi-Fi connectivity. Unlike the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite e-reader, there’s no 3G option available, so bookworms will have to locate a hotspot to download new titles.

Unfortunately the Amazon Kindle doesn’t feature a touchscreen display, but the 5-way controller enables users to highlight text or look up words at the touch of a button, as well as turn pages seamlessly.

Amazon Prime members can also opt into the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library, which gives users access to over 200,000 titles to download for free. Readers can download one title per month to read at their leisure, with no hefty library fines or pesky librarians.
