AllofMP3 Says: I’ll Be Back

With the power of Russian law it seems a certainty.

With seemingly more lives than your average feline it appears the end for AllofMP3 is not nigh…

Having already closed then re-opened then closed again after which founder Denis Kavasov escaped personal prosecution the site itself is now in defiant mood.

Over the weekend it posted a note on the AllofMP3 blog (which remains immune from all charges) saying: “The service will be resumed in the foreseeable future. We are doing our best at the moment to ensure that all our users can use their accounts, top up balance and order music.”

Cocky to the last.

…and from what we’ve witnessed so far ‘the last’ does indeed look a long way off. Russian copyright law has so far proved to be about as watertight as your average shipwreck (much to the fury of international music labels) so expect to find $1.81 DRM free albums back up on the site any minute.

Sony, EMI, Warner, et al… I can feel your fury from here. Hard cheese.
