Apple’s infinitely lose-able AirPods went on sale this week and now we know just much it’ll cost users who manage to mislay one of the wireless wonders.
Apple has updated its US iPhone service page to include AirPods, revealing a cost of $69 to replace a single AirPod. If you lose the charging case that’ll be another $69.

Service and battery repairs will be free within that 12 month warranty (via MacRumors). However, should that fault occur outside of that first year, general service will be $69 and battery replacement $49.

The only item listed on the UK site is currently the battery service of fee £52.44. We had a long chat with Apple support who eventually told us there was no available UK pricing right now.
AirPods went on sale earlier this week, but those hoping to get them before Christmas could be out of luck. Delivery estimates are now at 6 weeks in some territories.
